Diversity & Inclusion
“At Toll Brothers, Diversity & Inclusion is a core strategy, and not a box to tick. We believe that a diverse and inclusive culture benefits the entire organization and enables us to bring in the best talent, be more innovative and collaborative, and better engage with our customers. It’s also just the Right Thing to Do, a philosophy that our employees wholeheartedly embody, and which mirrors our company values.”

Spotlight Stories
Welcoming Christo Rey Interns
Since 2017 Toll Brothers has partnered with Cristo Rey Philadelphia High School, a college preparatory school that enables students to work in an office a few hours each week through their Work-Study Program. It’s an exciting opportunity for our employees to mentor a student and show them careers they may not have considered. With Cristo Rey, we are helping to build the workforce of tomorrow. Toll Brothers Tees Up a Great Event
In 2023, Toll Brothers partnered with First Tee of Greater Philadelphia to bring Big Brothers, Big Sisters pairs together for two fun-filled days of activities and golf at local First Tee facilities. First Tee’s mission is to positively impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values, and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. It was great to see first-hand how staff members and volunteers from these two wonderful organizations came together to support each other.
Idaho Steps Up
Toll Brother Idaho employees stepped up to transform the Ross Elementary Community Center. The center provides families and students in need with food, clothing, personal hygiene items, and other supplies. Our employees volunteered their time to paint, install shelving, and organize supplies. They also worked with local vendors to obtain cabinets and carpets for the center.
Celebrating Pride Month
Every year, teams from across Toll Brothers celebrate Pride Month and the LGBTQ+ community in exciting ways. In 2023, we had record-breaking participation as employees participated in marches at their offices across Toll Brothers. At our Corporate Headquarters event, John Dean, Division President, Pennsylvania and Delaware, said: “Let's help our colleagues know that it's okay to be who you are at Toll. Whoever that is, and whenever you're ready, we will support you."
Annual Gala Supporting Posse Foundation
In 2023, we held our 29th annual Toll Brothers fundraising gala in Philadelphia. This year’s event benefited The Posse Foundation, an organization that identifies students who might be overlooked by the traditional college application process but who have the potential to lead and excel. Once selected, students receive a full-merit scholarship to attend college in a group of 10—a "posse"—to help them thrive on campus and beyond. Toll Brothers Honors Dr. King
Employees from across the country came out in force to honor MLK Day and recognize Dr. Martin Luther King's legacy of service. Across Toll Brothers, employees team up to give back to their communities while taking advantage of our Day of Service benefit. When we all come together, we can make an incredible impact.
Delivering Cheer During the Holidays
Toll Brothers employees from across the country participate in our Annual Operation Holidays from Home initiative, where employees donate items which get sent to deployed military members over the winter holidays. For the past 18 years, employees from across the country have purchased and collected food, as well as recreational and comfort items recommended by our Veterans at Toll Employee Resource Group, to help service members serving around the world feel at home while away from loved ones during the holidays.
Employee Resource Groups
One crucial way we involve employees in the ongoing work of inclusiveness is through our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). All employees are encouraged to get involved in these employee-run groups, which serve to celebrate diverse backgrounds, create workplace connections, enhance personal and professional development, and contribute to our internal community as well as the communities in which we work.
Believe (Black Employees Leading Inclusion, Excellence, Vision and Education) provides an encouraging environment and career advancement opportunities for Black employees. The group is open to all employees with a specific emphasis on enhancing cultural competency, supporting Black employees, and advancing diversity and inclusion.
Veterans at Toll provides mentorship and support to Veterans, service members, families, and friends. The group provides a space for employees to share past experiences, assists those transitioning from the military, and provides support to service members balancing national guard and reserve requirements.
Toll Women’s Network (TWN) fosters professional development, personal growth and overall wellbeing for not just women, but all Toll Brothers employees. TWN offers opportunities to connect with colleagues on a meaningful level with the purpose of empowering everyone to achieve their own version of success.
Toll PRIDE (People Respecting Individuality & Diversity of Everyone) aims to make Toll Brothers a great place to work for current and future LGBTQ+ and their allies, helping Toll Brothers achieve its commitment to their customers, their employees, and the community.
MOSAIC (Multicultural Organization Supporting an Inclusive Culture) aims to celebrate the international and multicultural backgrounds of Toll Brothers employees. The group focuses on expanding awareness and knowledge of underrepresented racial, ethnic, and multicultural groups to better serve our customers, be a strong corporate citizen, and build a better community at work and beyond.
Human Rights Policy
We believe every individual has a right to be treated with dignity and to work in an environment free from hostility and harassment. We do not tolerate harassment of any kind. This is underscored by the Human Rights and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies, embedded in our Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, and reinforced through regular training. From our Board of Directors to our leadership team and employees across the country, Toll Brothers employees embrace our diversity and inclusion mission.
